Dr. Gareth Davies
Gareth works as a Consultant in Emergency Medicine and Prehospital Care at Noble’s Hospital and leads the MRMS Team. Gareth has had a lifelong passion for prehospital trauma care and has worked as a doctor supporting the TT & MGP since 1989. He worked at London HEMS for 30 years, where he was the Medical Director for 25 years, a Director of Innovation at Institute of Prehospital Care, Hon Senior Lecturer Centre for Neurosciences & Trauma and Honorary Civilian Consultant Advisor to the Army. Gareth led teams that pioneered prehospital innovations such as thoracotomy, REBOA and prehospital ECMO. He also led the Teams at many of London’s major incidents over the last 30 years. His specialist interests lie in the prehospital phase of injury, traumatic and medical cardiac arrest, mechanism of injury, and major incident management. He has published in over 60 peer reviewed journals and regularly speaks at National and International Conferences. He is a Fellow of the Faculty of Sports and Exercise Medicine and member of the ACU Medical Panel.
